Since 1979 the Blacksmiths Arms has been sympathetically and expertly restored to a high standard and is now regarded as one of the area's most charming and popular Inns. One of Britain's few remaining authentic country Inns, the building is located next door to the area's only fully operational Smithy a traditional and fitting source of the inn's moniker. Directions

From the A1 (M) Exit the A1 (M) at Junction 44 and take the A64 in the direction of York. Continue on the A64 for approximately 55 miles until reaching Scarborough. On the A64 (Stepney Road) take the 1st exit at the roundabout onto Stepney Drive (signposted A171 Whitby). At the junction at the end of Stepney Drive, turn right onto A171 (Scalby Road). Continue on the A171 through Burniston until entering Cloughton. The Blacksmiths Arms is located on the right hand side of the road, just after passing the village church.
