The Lyness in Scarborough offers warm and friendly accommodation in a prime location within Scarborough. A family run Guest House which welcomes families to stay. Set on the valley road of Columbus Ravine, close to all local amenities, the town centre with its shops, bars, restaurants and casinos; Peasholm Park; Sea Life Centre; North Bay Sands; indoor swimming pool; miniature railway; cricket ground; cinema; Stephen Joseph Theatre and many more. A walk down the Ravine, past the Scarborough Bowls Centre, brings you to the cliffs overlooking the North Bay, a short walk to the castle headland and the historic Church of St Mary's. Traditional English breakfast is served daily from 08:30 and we also offer a range of alternatives for a lighter start to the day including fruit juice, various cereals (including things like coco pops, frosties and rice krispies etc.), toast with jam or marmalade and even marmite, or perhaps porridge, scrambled or poached egg on toast, plain or cheese omelette or how about pancakes with golden syrup! We also offer a selection of fruit and herb teas as well as good old English breakfast tea, fresh filter coffee and hot chocolate. Home cooked evening meals are also available on request. Free Wi-Fi for guests as well as a selection of children's videos, parking permits and parking scheme discs. Check-in is from 14:00 to 21:00. Check out is by 10:00. We operate a strict non-smoking policy. Regrettably we cannot accept pets except Guide Dogs etc.

Directions

Scarborough Train Station - Road: From the train station in the centre of town, follow the signs for the North Bay. This will lead you onto Northway. Continue onto Columbus Ravine, straight over two roundabouts and the Lyness is 200m down on the right hand side.
